Some Not So Good Ideas

Gouges in an aluminum scuba cylinder, which was allowed to move during transportation.

Always rinse your gear after each and every use, not just rinse it with a hose, but soak it in a container of fresh water for at least 20 minutes.  Regulators should have the dust cap installed and the purge button should not be depressed during soaking.
